AAO 2025 was a busy and productive meeting for our Cedars Aspens members. A highlight of the meeting was Cathleen McCabe receiving the prestigious OWL Visionary Leader Award, which honors individuals who pave the way for diversity in our field through leadership and significant career achievements.

Cedars Aspens was proud to host its 6th annual mentorship program at the Caribbean Eye Meeting in Cabo, Mexico in January 2025.

CA members along with industry colleagues spoke with mentees on topics such as improving presentation skills with communication specialist Marsheila Devan, collaborating with industry with Elissa Kirley, finding your "why" with Gary Sanchez DDS and achieving work-life balance.

The mentees also had the opportunity to also attend other talks at the Caribbean Eye Meeting and continue networking and connecting with others at the meeting.

Cedars Aspens is committed to mentoring the next generation of ophthalmologists and we look forward to more of these mentorship programs in the future!
